I am living in Cox’s Bazar from my childhood. For this reason, I love this district a lot. The longest sea beach in the world is located in this district. For this reason, it is a famous tourist spots in the whole world. This district is also famous for it’s other attractive tourist spots. Cox’s Bazar is one of the most vulnerable district for various types of natural and manmade disasters. Now millions of Rohingya refugees are staying in this host district.
Every year millions of tourists visit our country. Especially they come here to enjoy the natural beauty of Cox’s Bazar. Among those visitors, there are also women visitors. Female visitors prefer female tourist guides for ensuring their smooth visit.
A tourist guide is also important for ensuring the maximum hospitality for the tourists. However, in Cox’s Bazar there are not enough guides to deliver tourists a good service. Lack of fluency in English is one of the fundamental reasons of the shortage of tourist guides.
There are very few skills driven education center in Bangladesh. The YES Center is one of the important institutions among them. This learning center has been providing different types of trainings to the students as a part of its skills driven education since 2016. English language course is one of the important course among these activities. I am a student of English language course. I want to increase my speaking and writing capacity by proper utilization of this course. I think this course is very important for building up a better career for myself.
I know that English is an international language. Proficiency in English language is very important for getting a better job at home as well as abroad. The hospitality industry in Cox’s Bazar is suffering a lot for the shortage of sufficient tourist guides. Lack of communication skills in English is the fundamental reason for it. During the time of various disasters different international and foreign relief agencies did not get appropriate support because of that shortage of available interpreters. Most of the students in this locality do not have sufficient writing and speaking capability in English. That’s why I got admission in the English language course at the YES Center Cox’s Bazar.
It is true that the YES center has taken an initiative to overcome these skills limitations. It has been trying to create a better environment for learning English. Personally, I am very grateful to the YES Center Cox’s Bazar for inviting me to join this education cycle, which deserves appreciation!
